I am often asked what software and apps I use in my business, and the answer might surprise you.
What a classic click bait Instagram title that is? But unfortunately it’s true. There are a range of specific drone apps available, many free and some of which I will go into below, but the truth is that the app/software I use most frequently, and that has provided the most bang for it's buck, is Canva Pro.
Though I probably shouldn't admit this, the thing about drones is that it's pretty easy to actually fly them. The hard part is taking the right picture of the right bit of a property, and providing the client with a service they are happy to pay for. The key to that service is in the reporting.
Canva allows me to make a customisable, attractive and professional report for my clients that is easy to edit, and looks brilliant. I can tailor each report to the client, input my own images and add all sorts of relevant information ensuring constancy. Canva has also proven to be of massive benefit for me in content creation, social media posts and video editing, which is significant and vital for any new business owner to have a grasp of.
Running a small business is no longer about just doing the job well, its about being a master of all aspects of the industry.
This isn't an Ad, i just love it.
For reference, the other apps I find particularly useful are:-
Windy - Weather app
Drone Assist - Flight planning
Netweather.tv - Rain Radar with animation tuned on. - Planning and watching rain come in. Web version
